The Reading Assembly on Palestine is a series of close reading sessions. During these sessions, we will collectively read fiction and poetry in order to explore Palestinian literature and the ways in which living under genocide, apartheid and occupation is reflected within these literary productions.
During the second gathering on June 11, we will delve deeper into what it means to be a member of the Palestinian resistance, how people are made into political prisoners, and how administrative detention is used within the West-Bank. We will, for instance, read fragments from the novel Against the Loveless World by Susan Abulhawa
The sessions will be open to literary proposals from participants, as a means of disseminating and sharing knowledge on Palestine through collective reading. Together, we reflect on how to continue learning, teaching, and assembling around Palestine. The next session will take place on July 24.
The Reading Assembly on Palestine-series is co-created and co-hosted by MOSs Social Club, Platform POST & Proces Verbaal.
